(Joint Committees as proposed by the 6th Joint Convention of PIPFPD held at Karachi between 12th and 14th December 2003)

This list is a draft one, subject to ratification by the National Committee members of the Indian Chapter. This list has been drawn based on the following criteria:

? PIPFPD membership and active participation in Forum’s activities or issue-based concerns

? Contribution to the respective issues (in terms of working experience on the issues or providing some different perspective on the themes)

? Involvement in the respective issues (e.g. Peace dividends, Minorities, Kashmir, etc.) for years, at the individual capacity or through an organisation

? The suggested committee on Peace is an attempt to bring-in individuals who have worked on different aspects related to peace (e.g. trade and economics, women’s perspective on conflict, Media perspective, Globalisation and people’s resistance, Siachen, Sir Creek, and so on)

? Gender participation

? Though the desired number of members in each committee from the Indian chapter is five, there are six-seven members each suggested for the committees in this list. The Chairperson and General Secretary of PIPFPD India will be ex-officio members to all the committees
